Lynnfield ended the week strong Friday as the town reported its lowest number of new COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last March, averaging a 1.8 positivity rate over a 14-day period.
The town’s number of cases is now at 1,206, with nine cases reported over the last 14 days. The number of deaths remained unchanged at 29.
Lynn saw a small increase of 22 cases since Wednesday, bringing the city to a total of 17,566 cases since the pandemic began. Of that total, 127 cases are active, 216 people have died, and 17,223 have recovered, according to the city’s data.
Peabody also saw a small increase, with 16 new cases since May 10. In total, the town has reported 7,230 cases of COVID-19 since last March, including 319 deaths.
Marblehead saw an increase of eight cases since May 7, bringing the town’s total up to 1,336, including 10 active cases and 31 deaths.
Nahant continued to report no new cases. The town’s total number of cases since the pandemic began is 253, with nine deaths.
In Saugus, the town’s last count, as of April 29, was 4,129 confirmed cases, including 72 deaths.
In Swampscott, as of Monday, there have been 1,161 lab-confirmed cases and 19 deaths.
