The St. Mary’s softball team continued its winning ways Wednesday night, grabbing its second win in as many days with a 16-2 win over Bishop Stang.
Sophomore Anna Fringuelli got the start in the circle and struckout seven on her way to earn her first varsity win for the Spartans.
At the plate, Marina DiBiasio went 2-for-2 and had two RBI in the win.

Winthrop 12, Salem 0
The Vikings put together a well rounded game to earn the 12-0 home win.
Rachel Farley led the way at the plate, hitting 2-for-4 with a double and a single. Farley drove in three RBI and scored another three runs in the win. Sydney Crotty also had a pair of hits, two RBI and scored one run in the win.
On the defensive side Sophia Vitale pitched all five innings, allowing just three hits and one walk with five strikeouts. Izzy Mahoney had a nice night at first base with four putouts, including a double play on a line drive.
Winthrop travels to unbeaten Peabody Friday (4).

Nicolette Fraser hit her first home run of the season in the loss for the Big Blue.
