Virus cases down on North Shore

New coronavirus cases were reported Monday in Lynn, Lynnfield, Peabody, Revere and Salem. 

The upticks were slight, with only a handful of new cases reported in each community. 

In Lynn, 13 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 17,663. The death toll is at 216, according to city data. 

Eight new cases have been reported in Salem (4,773 cases, 81 deaths) since last Friday, two new cases were reported in Lynnfield (1,211 cases, 29 deaths), four new cases have been reported in Peabody (7,260 cases, 322 deaths) since last Friday, and four new cases were reported in Revere (10,988 cases, 163 deaths). 

No change was reported in Nahant (253 cases, nine deaths); and numbers have not been updated in Marblehead (1,338 case, 31 deaths) since last Friday; Swampscott (1,161 cases, 19 deaths) since May 10; and Saugus (4,129 cases, 71 deaths) since April 29.
