The Lynn Tech track team split its meet against Nashoba Tech Thursday afternoon, with the girls winning 66-62 and the boys falling 83-72.
On the girls side, Angalina Castillo was a double winner after taking first in the 800-meter (3:12) and the two-mile (15:07). Meralis Ventura also grabbed two wins for the Tigers, finishing first in the javelin (59 feet) and the shot put (29-2). Other winners for the Tech girls were Nyari Lane-Benjamin in the 400 hurdles (1:25), Skyla Mcgough in the 100 hurdles (27.0) and Melanie Ortega in the discus (45-9). The 4×100 relay team of Lane-Benjamin, Mcgough, Miyoka Johnson and Amaya Williams also earned a win.
Jose Hercules and Junior Phen were both double-winners on the boys sidem with Hercules winning the 800 (2:22) and the one-mile (5:59) and Phen winning the javelin (101-0) and the discus (90-0). Michael Monbleau took first place in the shot put, while the 4×100 relay team of Monbleau, Vincent Marino, Isaiah Marshall and Marion Rivera also earned a win.
The Tech boys are now 2-1 on the season, while the girls stand at 1-2.
BOYS TRACK
Lynnfield 72, Pentucket 69
Mike Madden led the way with two wins on the day, taking first in the 400 hurdles (1:05.3) and the 800 (2:12). Other winners for the Pioneers were Nick Marcinowski in the shot put (36-7), Dean Bey in the pole vault (8-6), Cole Trainor in the discus (97-1), Joey Badger in the triple jump (39-9), Dan McSweeney in the one-mile (5:24), Joey Cucciniello in the 100 (11.4) and James Considine in the 200 (23.8).
Lynnfield (2-3) will run against Ipswich on June 7.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Peabody 10, Danvers 5
Amber Kiricoples led the offensive attack for the Tanners with four goals and one assist, while Hailie Lomasney notched two goals and four assists. Siobhan Smith, Hailey Baker, McKayla Fisher and Sophie Izzo each scored one goal.
On the defensive side, Emily McDonough, Jordyn Collins, Sam Silva and Elise Staunton all had strong games. Goalie Olivia Lavalle continued her strong season with six saves.
Peabody (6-3) hosts Beverly Tuesday (4).
Marblehead 16, Saugus 1
The Magicians notched their third straight win with Thursday’s victory at Piper Field.
Hadley Wales had a huge game for the Magicians with three goals and four assists, while Abby Kalinowski was close behind with three goals. Maddie Erskine had two goals and two assists, Molly Forbes had one goal and three assists and Isabelle Ferrante had one goal and one assist. Gigi Lombardi, Lucy Wales, Sydney Langton, Josie Poulin, Clara Donovan and Kate Burns each scored one goal. Goalie Elizabeth Driscoll made five saves in the win.
Marblehead (5-2) hosts Winthrop Monday morning (11).

BASEBALL
St. John’s Prep 8, Malden Catholic 1
It was another big day at the plate for Pat D’Amico, who went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. Eric Wing went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, while DJ Pacheco (1-for-2) and Christopher Dirks (1-for-3) each had one RBI.
It was a pitcher-by-committee victory for the Eagles on the mound, with Patrick Hosman, Jonathan Santoro, Joseph Gizmunt, Stanley Klopotoski, Connor Remley and Cam Wodarski all seeing time Thursday.
St. John’s Prep (8-1) travels to rival Xaverian Monday (4).
Salem 8, Peabody 2
The Witches are all of a sudden red hot, notching their second straight win with a strong showing against Peabody.
Bobby Jellison led the Salem offense, going 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. Sebastion Cruz added one RBI.
Ethan Doyle earned the complete-game victory on the mound, allowing two runs on four hits with 12 strikeouts and just one walk.
Salem is now 2-6.
The Tanners were led by Ryan Knight, who went 1-for-2 with a home run and one RBI.
Peabody (5-5) travels to Saugus Monday (4).
Amesbury 6, Lynnfield 5
Lynnfield (3-6) hosts Ipswich Saturday morning (10) for its Senior Day.
SOFTBALL
Peabody 16, Beverly 1
Avery Grieco and Abby Bettencourt combined to pitch a no-hitter for the Tanners, with Grieco going the first three innings and Abby Bettencourt pitching the final four. Grieco allowed three walks, while Bettencourt walked two.
Abby Bettencourt also led the offensive attack, going 3-for-4 with a triple, four runs scored and four RBI. Emma Bloom went 3-for-3 with two triples and five RBI, while Grieco went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBI. Isabel Bettencourt (3-for-3), Kylie Doolin (1-for-3), Penny Spack (1-for-4) and Logan Lomasney (2-for-3) each had one RBI.
Peabody (8-0) has a quick turnaround with a game against Danvers Friday (4).
