Behind a shutout pitching performance from Anthony Marino and a massive day at the plate from Dan Reddick, the Bishop Fenwick baseball team notched a 10-0 win in five innings over Essex Tech in a non-conference battle Wednesday afternoon.
Reddick lit it up at the plate, going 2-for-4 with five RBI to pace the offense. Scott Emerson (0-for-4), Gianni Mercurio (1-for-4) and Costa Beechin (2-for-3) each had one RBI.
On the mound, Marino pitched all five innings and allowed zero runs on three hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.
Fenwick (7-5) hosts Archbishop Williams Thursday (4).
BASEBALL
St. Mary’s 5, Cardinal Spellman 0
Eric Bridges earned the win on the mound for the Spartans, tossing five scoreless innings and allowing five hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
On the offensive end, Zach Fisher went 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead the way. Terence Moynihan added one RBI, while Jason Donohue went 2-for-4 with a double and Aiven Cabral went 1-for-1 with a triple.

BOYS LACROSSE
St. Mary’s 13, Cardinal Spellman 1
Jackson Field lit the field on fire with seven goals and one assist in the Spartans’ victory. Zach Barden also had a big game with one goal and seven assists. Jack Desmarais had two goals while Max Field had three assists. Jack Silva, Sam York and Brady Ayles each had one goal.
St. Mary’s (8-3) travels to Arlington Catholic Saturday morning (9).
GIRLS LACROSSE
Masconomet 17, Swampscott 8
Too many turnovers came back to haunt the Big Blue in the loss.
Harper Clopton led the way with three goals and one assist, while Elizabeth Green scored three goals. Reese Robertson had one goal and one assist, while Broghan Laundry scored one goal.
Swampscott (10-2) hosts Beverly Friday (4).
