The Lynn Classical softball team remained undefeated in Greater Boston League play Friday, topping Medford 15-3 on the road.
Kylie Poisson led the way, batting 2-for-5 with three RBI, while Izzy Faessler (2-for-3, walk) also added three RBI in the win. Freshman Rachel Dana also had a big game, going 2-for-2 with a pair of walks and one RBI.
Brooke Warren continued a hot streak on the mound, allowing seven hits and two earned runs while striking out six.
Classical (4-2) travels to Everett Monday (4).
SOFTBALL
Revere 20, English 2
Backup pitcher Erica Anderson shined in the circle for the Patriots, striking out five batters and walking none in her first-ever varsity game.
Revere (4-1) travels to Medford Saturday morning (10:30).
English hosts Somerville Tuesday (4).
BOYS LACROSSE
BC High 8, St. John’s Prep 7 (OT)
The Prep suffered its first loss of the season in heartbreaking fashion, giving up the game-tying goal with only seven seconds remaining in regulation before falling in overtime.
Jimmy Ayers led the way with two goals in the loss, while Tommy Sarni had one goal and two assists. Luke Surette and Pat Atkins each had one goal and one assist, while Lucas Verrier and Charlie Wilmot each scored one goal. Michael Kelly added two assists. Goalie Kaden Quirk had eight saves.
St. John’s Prep (9-1) hosts Catholic Memorial Tuesday (5:30) in the regular season finale.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
St. John’s Prep 3, BC High 1
The Prep pulled out a hard-fought win on Senior Night, keeping its undefeated season alive for another day. The Eagles won by set scores of 25-14, 21-25, 25-23, 25-13.
Prior to the game, the Eagles honored their group of four seniors — Eugene Mantilla, Michael Clifford, Mike Maddison and Aaron Saporito — for their contributions to the program over the years.
St. John’s Prep (7-0) hosts St. John’s (Shrewsbury) Monday (5:30).
GIRLS TENNIS
Classical 3, Medford 2
The Rams stayed unbeaten on the year thanks to a second singles win from Alyssa Raithal, a third singles win from Sabrina Motassim and first doubles win from Raina Merbah and Samantha Thoeun.
Classical (3-0) is at home Monday against Everett.
