The Peabody girls lacrosse team had no trouble offensively Monday, closing out the season with a 16-1 win on the road at Gloucester.
The Tanners had 12 different goal scorers in the win with Amber Kiricoples leading the way with two goals and two assists while Hailey Baker and Skylar Girard each had two goals.
Hailie Lomasney had a goal and two assists while Jordyn Collins, Abby Leonard and Emily McDonough each had a goal and an assist.
Sophie Izzo, Sam Silva, Siobhan Smith, McKayla Fisher and Katie Amico each had a goal. Sam Rowe added an assist.
Peabody finishes the regular season at 10-4.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Beverly 14, Saugus 2
Haley McLaughlin scored both goals for the Sachems who wrapped the season at 4-11. Saugus graduates five seniors in co-captains Katie Polanco and Daniela Marquez and Nadine Taboubi, Salma Rahmouni and McLaughlin.
BOYS LACROSSE
Pentucket 10, Lynnfield 7
The Pioneers couldn’t pull it out against their Cape Ann League rivals despite a 17-save game from Niko Marotta. John Briggs and Myles McKay each had two goals. Janssen Sperling, Drew Damiani and Will Steadman each had a goal.
Marblehead 14, Swampscott 6
Despite the loss, Jack Russo had three goals for Swampscott while Vinny Palmer had two. Christian Urbano had a goal and Jayson Codispoti had two assists. Aidan Breault had 16 saves.
BASEBALL
Salem 6, Danvers 5
Salem got the win thanks to a triple from Jack Doyle in the bottom of the eighth who later scored on a wild pitch.
Ethan Doyle pitched six innings before Robert Palacios came in for relief and stranded go-ahead runners in the seventh and eighth to help keep Salem alive.
Jack Doyle ended up with two triples on the day and a pair of RBI. Palacios added an RBI. Bobby Jellison had three hits and added a pair of runs as did Ethan Doyle.
Saugus 0, Marblehead 0 (PPD)
The Magicians had a runner at third with no outs when the game was called during rain in the top of the fourth innings. The game is set to be resumed Tuesday (TBD).
BOYS TENNIS
Lynnfield 5, Pentucket 0
The Pioneers were flawless in singles with Jamil Khodr, Dan Levin and David Kosdon all winning 6-0, 6-0. In doubles, Connor Sohop and David Picavilli (6-2, 6-1) and Anthony Zhang and Nick Jacops (6-1, 6-0) won in singles.
Lynnfield (10-0) hosts North Reading Tuesday (4).
GIRLS TENNIS
Lynnfield 3, Pentucket 2
The Pioneers sneaked by their Cape Ann League rivals during an indoor match at Woburn Racket Club. Anna Radulski (6-1, 6-1) got a win in third singles while Emily Goguen and Lauren Graba (6-2, 6-2) and Genna Gioioso and Gabi Mellor (6-4, 6-2) got the wins in doubles play.
Lynnfield (9-3) is at North Ready Tuesday (4).
Marblehead 4, Beverly 1
The Magicians got wins from Cannan Whittier (6-2, 6-3) and Tess Keaney (6-1, 6-1) in singles and Emily Clough and Lauren Podgur (6-2, 6-3) and Ava Ullian and Leah Saulnier (6-3, 6-7, 7-2, 7-4, tiebreaker).
Marblehead will now wait for tournament seating after finishing the regular season at 11-2.
TRACK
NEC League Meet
Both the Peabody boys and girls track teams were well represented at Monday’s Northeastern Conference League meet.
For the boys, Joel Lisoma (low hurdles) and Daviel Canela (100m) both ran to wins while Shea Lynch (javelin), Peter Gardikas (discus) and Brendan Glass (shot put) all won in throwing events.
Alrene Davilla was a double winner for the Peabody girls in discus and shot put. Sarah DiVasta won the two-mile while Savanna Vargas ran to a win in the 100m. Sadai Headley-Mawasi took first in the triple jump while Aaliyah Alleyah won the javelin.
For the Marblehead boys, Loeden Rodrigues (two-mile) and Ciro Martin-Sotos (800m) ran to wins while Devin Whalen got the win for the girls in high hurdles.
