LYNN — The Lynn Police Department saw its force increase Wednesday morning with the swearing in of two new officers.
Officers Hector Orellana and Benjamin Craven were sworn in during a ceremony held in the mayor’s office at City Hall.
In addition, Dave Brown has been promoted from lieutenant to captain and was sworn into his new rank by City Clerk Janet Rowe as Mayor Thomas M. McGee, Police Chief Christopher Reddy and Deputy Chief Michael Vail looked on.
In a social media post, McGee congratulated all three on their new positions with the city’s police department.
“I wish the officers the best in (their) new positions as they protect and serve the residents of the city of Lynn,” McGee said.
