Police received a complaint for loud children at 11:16 a.m. Wednesday on Bessom Street. A caller reported her home backs up to the daycare and the children are extremely loud from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Police reported there were just kids outside playing.
At 5:21 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a sailboat was on the rocks with someone on the rocks or in the water at Salem Harbor. The harbormaster responded and removed the boat.
At 8:59 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported there were thousands of jellyfish on the beach on Village Street and was concerned about someone letting their dog loose.
A report of a disturbance at 9:22 p.m. Wednesday on Ocean Avenue. A caller reported a group of about 40 kids were setting off fireworks and trashing the area. Police reported the group was advised.
At 11:33 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported kids were climbing on the roof and playing with some sort of fire. Police reported no one was on the roof and there were only three people sitting on the pavilion.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 8:51 p.m. Wednesday in front of Barnes and Noble, 444 Broadway. A caller reported an accident in the parking lot. Officers assisted in the exchange of papers.
Suspicious Person
A report of a suspicious person Wednesday at 7:16 p.m. in front of 35 David Drive. A caller reported a woman dressed all in black outside her residence taking photos of her home for approximately 25 minutes before leaving. Officers discovered the woman was taking selfies in front of the caller’s home.
Theft
A report of motor vehicle theft Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. in front of Home Depot, 564 Broadway. A caller reported one of his Penske trucks from Home Depot was not returned.
