LYNN — It was a great day to be a member of a Catholic Central League boys lacrosse team on Sunday afternoon, as representatives from across the CCL shined during the 9th Agganis All-Star Boys Lacrosse Game on a warm day at Manning Field.

Bishop Fenwick’s Liam Hill and Stefano Fabiano as well as St. Mary’s Zach Barden led the offensive attack for the North team, which took down the South 17-7. Hill scored four goals and earned North MVP honors, while Fabiano also scored four goals and Barden scored three.

Another CCL player, Arlington Catholic’s Adam Hayatayan, netted two goals in the win, while Fenwick’s Aiden Anthony notched one goal.

On the South side, Swampscott’s Vincent Palmer and Melrose’s Jake Rowe each scored two goals in the loss. Melrose’s Matt Dussault also scored two goals and was named the South MVP. Lynn Tech’s Jarrod Bennett, who suits up for the Lynn Jets, scored one goal.

The script was flipped in the 9th Agganis Girls Lacrosse Game, as the high-powered South team rolled to a 15-6 win behind a huge performance from Arlington Catholic’s Kylie McCarthy, who scored four goals and was named South MVP. A pair of Lowell teammates — Elizabeth Tighe and Abby Mitchell — scored four goals and two goals, respectively, while Marblehead’s Maddie Erskine had a big game with three goals. Ipswich’s Riley Daly and Watertown’s Christina Zouein each scored one goal in the win.

Danvers’ Ashley Curcuru and Methuen’s Mirelys Morales each scored two goals to lead the way for the North, while Fenwick’s Jenna Durkin and Methuen’s Bella Keaney each scored one goal.
