The Marblehead boys tennis team has quite the bright future ahead of it with Mika Garber on the court.

Garber may just be a freshman but he didn’t play like it, helping power an undefeated Magicians team at first singles and earning NEC North Player of the Year honors in the process.

Garber was joined on the NEC All-Conference Team with teammate and third-singles competitor Daniel Farfel. Marblehead also had three players named to the North All-Star Team in Aidan Ryan, Jack Donovan and Thomas Dack.

Swampscott was right behind Marblehead with their own pair of All-Conference mentions in Tate Greenfield (first singles) and Charles Schepens (second singles). The Big Blue also had Chris Hollenbach and Nick Custer make it onto the North All-Star Team.

In the South, Winthrop coach Marie Finn was named Coach of the Year and Vikings’ players Augie Cherico and Ari Hames made the South All-Star Team.

Beverly dominated the All-Conference doubles pairings with Matthew Mitchell and Ivan Contreras and Thomas Schroter and Ryan Dunleavy.

The rest of the boys All-Stars were Patrick Johnson (Beverly), Owen O’Brien (Beverly), Sam Brockerman (Masconomet), Anders Littman (Gloucester), Andry Payano Sosa (Gloucester), Noah Willett (Gloucester), Dante Roper (Salem) and Jariel DelValle (Salem).

The Marblehead girls were powered by the doubles pairings of Emily Clough and Lauren Podgur (first doubles) and Leah Saulnier and Ava Ullian (second doubles) all season and the four each earned All-Conference nods. Marblehead’s Tess Keaney was also named a North All-Star.

Swampscott’s Allison Skulley also earned All-Conference honors after her year in the first singles spot. Madeline Calabrese and Sarah Tribendis were named to the North All-Star Team for the Big Blue.

Saugus girls coach Kristen Gerety earned Coach of the Year honors and the Sachems had a North All-Star selection in Lanna Queiroz.

Peabody’s Sofia Valencia and Salem’s Anna Sokolow earned spots on the South All-Star Team.

The rest of the NEC All-Stars were Ella Gharabegian (Masconomet), Chloe Ahern (Masconomet), Lauren Calabrese (Masconomet), Elsie Carsey (Beverly), Jenna Kee (Danvers), Olivia Dekermanji (Danvers), Amanda Tinkham (Danvers) and Sophia Picano (Gloucester).
