The Commonwealth Athletic Conference has released its 2021 Track and Field All-Stars and members of both the Lynn Tech girls and boys team were represented.

For the boys, the Tigers had six competitors to earn spots in several events after a successful 4-1 season in the CAC this spring.

Topping the list was senior Jordan Lee who was named a CAC All-Star for four events including the 400m hurdles, 400m, long jump and high jump. Fellow senior Junior Phem had a great season in throwing events, earning All-Star honors in javelin, shot put and discus. Capping off the list of senior All-Stars is Jose Hercules (one-mile, 800m and relay).

The Tigers also had a trio of juniors make the cut with Remy Chiep being honored for a trio of events — the 400m, javelin and long jump. Brian Zarate (two-mile, 4×400 relay) and Kyle Lindquist (javelin and discus).

The Tech girls finished the season at 2-3 and also had six competitors named to the CAC All-Star team. The Tigers 4×100 relay team of Nyari Lane-Benjamin, Skyla McGough, Amara Williams and Miyoka Johnson all earned honors for the event.

Lane-Benjamin (400m Hurdles), McGough (100m hurdles and long jump), Williams (100m) and Johnson (200m and long jump) all earned All-Star honors in individual events as well.

Also joining their teammates on the All-Star team were Angelina Castillo who earned selections for four events (two-mile, one-mile, 800m and javelin) and Meralis Ventura for three (shot put, discus and javelin).

KIPP also had its fair share of CAC All-Stars.

For the boys, Ricky Maestre, Joel Aguero, Victor Mafo and Daniel Oluwasuyi were all honored for the 4×100 relay. Maestre (100 and 200m), Mafo (100m) and Dave Filias also were selected for their individual events. On the girls side, Grace Lukan (100m) and Alejandra Arrivillaga (shot put) rounded out the Panthers’ group of All-Stars.
