LYNN

Arrests 

Katherina Alves, 27, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation at 3:04 p.m. Monday. 

Jarod Bryan, of 65 Legate Hill Road, Leominster, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, nighttime breaking and entering for a felony and wanton destruction of property at 10:43 a.m. Tuesday. 

Earl Colby, 29, of 82 Wyman St., was arrested and charged with drinking in public and on a warrant for two counts of shoplifting by asportation, assault and battery and strangulation or suffocation at 12:03 a.m. Tuesday. 

Shomar Garcia, 28, of 35 Gage St., was arrested and charged with trafficking 200-plus grams of a Class B drug at 9:40 p.m. Monday. 

Virgilio Garcia-Deoleo, 36, of 35 Gage St., was arrested and charged with trafficking 200-plus grams of a Class B drug at 9:33 p.m. Monday. 

Kelvin Gonzalez, 40, of 56 Allerton St., was arrested on a warrant and charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest at 10:51 a.m. Tuesday. 

Emerson Imul-Molina, 25, of 112 Broad St., was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery with serious bodily injury at 3:02 p.m. Monday. 

Marvin Pojoy-Lopez, 25, of 39 Rogers Ave., was arrested and charged with drinking in public at 3:32 p.m. Monday. 

Prospero Polanco, 41, of 485 Washington St., was arrested and charged with trafficking 200-plus grams of a Class B drug at 10:04 p.m. Monday. 

Deiby Ramirez-Novas, 33, of 56 Lowell St., was arrested and charged with trafficking 200-plus grams of a Class B drug at 9:51 p.m. Monday.  

Accidents 

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 2:32 a.m. Monday at 73 Essex St.; at 3:14 p.m. Monday at 309 Boston St.; at 3:49 p.m. Monday at Walgreens at 841 Western Ave.; at 3:50 p.m. Monday at 540 Lynnway; at 3:52 p.m. Monday at Holland and Western avenues; at 6:56 p.m. Monday at Laighton and Washington streets; at 7:53 a.m. Tuesday on Lynn Shore Drive; at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday at 29 Lewis St.; at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday at  275 Lynnfield St.; at 1:33 p.m. Tuesday at 12 Quincy Terrace.     

A report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury at 5:09 p.m. Monday at Baker and Brimblecom streets; at 5:53 p.m. Monday at 3 Western Ave.; at 6:57 p.m. Monday at 104 Washington St.; at 9:48 a.m. Tuesday at 77 Lynn Shore Drive.   

A report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday at Adams and Chestnut streets. 

Assaults 

A report of an assault and battery at 1:47 a.m. Tuesday on Andrew Street; at 10:22 a.m. Tuesday at BayRidge at 60 Granite St.  

Overdose 

A report of an overdose at 2:55 p.m. Monday on Union Street; at 5:56 p.m. Monday on Washington Street; at 6:49 p.m. Monday at Liberty and Market streets; at 6:59 p.m. Monday on State Street.  

Theft 

A report of a larceny at 3:25 p.m. Monday at 100 Light St.; at 9:49 a.m. Tuesday at 285 Lynn Shore Drive; at 9:53 a.m. Tuesday at Cobbet Hill Apartments at 498 Essex St.  

Vandalism

A report of vandalism at 10:55 a.m. Monday at 252 S Common St.  

A report of motor vehicle vandalism at 4:20 p.m. Monday at 48 Arlington St.


MARBLEHEAD 

Accidents 

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 12:35 p.m. Friday at Waterside Road and West Shore Drive. A caller reported a car rammed into another car that had stopped to allow a child on a bicycle to cross the street. The caller said the child was not struck and “took off” from the area. 

A report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at 1:57 p.m. Saturday on Washington Street.

A motor vehicle crash was reported at 1:32 a.m. Monday on Ocean Avenue.

Complaints 

A report of a mutilated rabbit at 12:50 p.m. Thursday on Waterside Road. A caller reported finding a rabbit in front of his neighbor’s house that was mutilated with a knife. The caller said that someone who does that was showing signs of future criminal behavior. The caller said he saw the rabbit earlier when he was out on his run but didn’t want to stop and said the crows were about to eat it. DPW was notified to remove the rabbit.  

A report of unemployment fraud at 1:53 p.m. Thursday on Tidewinds Terrace. 

A caller reported softball players were lighting off fireworks at 8:15 p.m. Thursday on Green Street. 

A report of a disturbance at 10:46 p.m. Thursday on Pleasant Street. A caller reported a homeless man was stumbling around with only one shoe on. The caller said the man, who looked “sketchy,” was last seen leaning on the wall by the Howling Wolf seating area. 

A report of suspicious activity at 2:30 a.m. Saturday on High Street. A caller reported three men were trying to break into his house. The caller thought the men were intoxicated. Police saw one man, who checked out and was sent home. 

A report of kids walking at 11:59 p.m. Saturday on Devereux Terrace. A caller reported kids with flashlights were walking on the trail. The caller said the kids looked suspicious and was concerned that they were up to no good. 

Suspicious activity was reported at 1:11 a.m. Sunday on Harbor View Lane. A caller reported someone was trying to get into her house. The caller described the person as a man in his 20s who appeared to be drunk. Police reported the man was only knocking on the door and there were no issues. 

A report of suspicious activity at 4:45 a.m. Sunday on Green Street. A caller reported a person was possibly in the house with a gun. A mother told police that she thought her son had a nightmare. She checked the whole house and said there was no person with a gun. Police responded and found no such person. 

A disturbance was reported at 8:25 p.m. Monday at Marblehead Harbor. A caller reported people on two boats were causing a disturbance and urinating off the side of the boats. She said she has young children who could see the people urinating. The harbormaster was notified and advised the people about proper restroom facilities and sent them home for the night. 

At 8:36 p.m. Monday, a caller from Mugford Street reported someone was illegally flying a drone over his house in his restricted air space. He proceeded to track the person to the Old Town House. Police told the caller that there was nothing illegal about flying a drone over his house, explaining that the statute regarding “over a person’s body” applied to a drone that was directly over a person’s head or body, not in the air over their house. The caller continued to insist that the police were wrong and was advised to reach out to the FAA for further advice. 

A report of a disturbance at 10:09 p.m. Monday on Stramski Way. A caller reported a group in the lot was being loud. Police met with three people at the playground who reported they were playing Fortnite and would keep it down. 

Vandalism 

A report of vandalism at 11:45 a.m. Thursday on Lafayette Street. A caller reported someone shot his windshield with a paintball. 

A report of a smashed window at 11:33 p.m. Friday on Orne Street. A caller reported he heard a window smash and thought it was from a yellow house at the end of the street toward Franklin Street. The caller said he saw a man run into the house, but could not provide a description. Police reported there was a broken window at an Orne Street home and damage to the patio furniture. Police spoke with the resident, who reported breaking his own window. 


PEABODY 

Arrests 

Joseph Driscoll, 42, of 250 O’Callaghan Way, South Boston, was arrested and charged with armed robbery, shoplifting by concealing merchandise, disorderly conduct, Class B drug possession with intent to distribute, possession of a burglarious instrument and receiving stolen property under $1,200 at 7 p.m. Monday. 

Jamal C. Latimer, 33, of 106 Bay View Ave., Lynn, was arrested on a warrant at 5:28 p.m. Monday. 

Accidents 

A report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at 6:14 p.m. Monday at 17 Ayer St. 

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 8:19 a.m. Tuesday at 1 Bay State Road and 297 Lynn St. 

Breaking and Entering 

A report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering at 4:09 p.m. Monday at Nordstrom at 210N Andover St. A caller reported nothing was taken from the vehicle, but the panel had been tampered with. 

Theft 

A report of a robbery at 7 p.m. Monday at Macy’s at 210M Andover St. Macy’s loss prevention reported a suspect was stealing items and running away. The suspect reportedly made threats to stab loss prevention personnel. Police reported stopping the suspect who fled on foot through backyards. Joseph Driscoll, 42, of South Boston, was arrested (see arrests). 

A report of a larceny at 7:10 p.m. Monday at 179 Lynn St. A caller reported her lawn sign, valued at $60, was taken from her property. 

Vandalism 

A report of vandalism at 5:17 p.m. Monday at Rasco Landscaping at 215 Newbury St. A caller reported vandalism to one of his work vehicles. 

Vandalism was reported at 10:29 p.m. Monday at 30 Coleman St. A caller reported the “Thin Blue Line” flag on his garage had been vandalized and taken the night of July 4. Police reported the caller found the flagpole on the ground and the flag appeared to have been cut. 

A report of vandalism to the school grounds at Center School, 18 Irving St., at 10:27 a.m. Tuesday.
