The Catholic Central League released its boys lacrosse All-Stars this week and several players from St. Mary’s and Bishop Fenwick highlighted the local selections.

The Crusaders had four players earn CCL first-team All-Star honors. Senior attackman Liam Hill was an offensive powerhouse for Fenwick, racking up 62 goals throughout the season — good for second best in the entire North Shore — to lead the way.

Senior Stefano Fabiano also had an impressive season in the midfield despite missing the first nine games of the year due to injury. Fabiano finished the season with 27 goals and a total of 50 points.

Senior midfielder Aiden Anthony, who also had an impressive offensive year with 54 points, and senior captain and long-stick midfielder Jake Connelly rounded out Fenwick’s first-team members.

Junior defenseman Kevin Wood also missed some of the season with an injury, but still earned a second-team mention.

Senior goalie George Kostolias tallied a North Shore-best 197 saves this season and was an honorable mention selection.

Fenwick coach Steve Driscoll also brought home some hardware after being named CCL Coach of the Year. Driscoll guided his Crusaders to the CCL Cup title game and boasts a 59-39 record after five seasons at the helm.

St. Mary’s had two players earn first team honors. Midfielder Zach Barden was at the top of the scoresheet all year long. On the other end of the field, goalie Daniel Domeniconi kept the Spartans in games all season in net.

Earning second-team honors for the Spartans were midfielder Jackson Field and, on the defensive side, Maxwell Field and long-stick midfielder Harrison Kinne.
