To the editor:
Louie was the unofficial town historian. He grew up here, served on the Historical Commission for several years and continued to share his wealth of Swampscott history with everyone. His heart was truly in Swampscott. He continued to be the associate member of the commission, a member of the Historical Society and led the History Buffs group at the library.
He was recently helpful in making suggestions on the new plaque program being offered by the commission.
Lou was the only one that had a key to the display case at Town Hall and would regularly change the contents. He was always witty, humorous and could tell a great Swampscott story, no matter the topic.
