Lynn Woods Summer Running completes sixth session

LYNN — The Lynn Woods Summer Running series completed its sixth session of the year on Wednesday evening, with 144 runners competing across three different races. 

In the kids race, which ran a course of 1.57 miles, Lynn’s Eli Osgood took home first place with a time of 13:29. Lynn’s Angelino Castillo finished in second place (13:47), while Melrose’s Caroline Skeirik and Daniel Skeirik tied for third place (14:54). Lynn’s Dianne Pheun (15:16), Saugus’ Katana O’Keefe (15:46), Lynn’s Hannah Desilets (15:53), Lynn’s Drayko Phoutsakanh (16:56), Billerica’s Liam Fay (17:01) and Billerica’s Donald Fay (17:01) rounded out the top 10. 

In the 2.49-mile race, Lynn’s Rachel Brennan — a former Lynn Classical star runner — took home the win with a time of 17:21. Marblehead’s Tyson Miller finished in second place (17:41), while Lynn’s Eamonn McHale (18:06), Lynn’s Nathan Hammerschmit (18:15) and Danvers’ Thomas Williamson (18:29) rounded out the top five. The rest of the top 10 was made up of Melrose’s Andrew Skeirik (18:37), Lynn’s Alan Barrios (18:48), Wakefield’s Peter Swain (20:03), Lynn’s Paul Robertson (20:09) and Swampscott’s Ted Kennedy (20:35). 

The longest race of the day, dubbed the “Tour de Lynn Woods,” was won by Lynn native and former St. Mary’s star Taban Manyok with a time of 45:41 — nearly four minutes ahead of second place. Lynn’s Nakri Dao (49:30), Haverhill’s Dan Verrington (52:06), Lynn’s Elias Bakas (53:38), Lynnfield’s Brian Hutter (53:41), Boxford’s Jeff Hixon (54:37), Lynn’s Brian Beaulieu (55:36), Lynn’s Ian Edwards (56:02), Lynn’s Eric Bowden (56:12) and Lynnfield’s Sam Crosbie (57:19) rounded out the top 10.
