New audio and light installation takes on Broad Street in Lynn

July 23, 2021 by Allysha Dunnigan

LYNN — The nonprofits Beyond Walls and Harbor Voices have teamed up to open an immersive installation on 451 Broad St. featuring the voices of 100 young people from Lynn.

This installation, entitled “Truth Be Told,” opened on Thursday night and will remain open until Saturday at 9 p.m.

Youth from the Demakes Family YMCA, Boys & Girls Club, the Haven Project, Family and Child Services of Greater Lynn and Girls Inc. participated in this installation and shared the pain, resilience and the strength it took to survive the circumstances of a pandemic.

Forms of storytelling, writing, drawing and spoken word were implemented to create this free, citywide exhibition, which can be viewed by the public on Saturday from noon to 9 p.m.
