SALEM — A 23-year-old Peabody man told police he was looking at his phone when he crashed his vehicle into another car on Lafayette Street early Sunday morning.
The man’s vehicle rolled over as a result of the crash and two people in the vehicle he hit were taken to Salem Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police responding to the crash at 182 Lafayette St. at approximately 2 a.m. found the Peabody man’s vehicle on its roof. He told police that he had been looking down at his phone before the crash, police said.
The accident is under investigation.
