LYNN — Authorities are investigating a homicide that left a 20-year-old Lynn man dead Saturday night, the Essex District Attorney’s office said.
Shortly before 8 p.m., Lynn Police responded to 364 Essex St. following a report of an unresponsive man. The victim, identified as Gerald Emeka, was taken to Salem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to officials.
Upon arrival, police found Emeka suffering from life-threatening injuries, but it’s unclear what led to his injuries and whether a weapon was involved, the DA’s office said.
No arrests have been made; the homicide is under investigation by the DA’s office, the Essex State Police Detective Unit and Lynn Police.
