The Marblehead girls soccer team came to play Tuesday afternoon, as the Magicians rolled to a 7-0 victory over Northeastern Conference foe Salem at Bertram Field.
Ava Machado scored her first varsity goal in the win, notching two goals and one assist on the day to lead the offense. Leah Schauer, Paige Fletcher and Carlin McGowan also scored their first career varsity goals, while Annika Haley and Samantha Dormer each had one goal.
Marblehead (4-0-0) hosts Beverly Thursday (4).
Salem (1-1-3) hosts Masconomet Thursday (4).
GIRLS SOCCER
Peabody 0, Swampscott 0
Maddie Scacchi, Branae Craveiro and Connie Patturelli all played well for the Tanners in the draw.
Peabody (1-2-2) travels to Gloucester Thursday (4:30).
Lynn Classical 5, Everett 0
Jayda Mateo led the offensive attack for the Rams with three goals and one assist, while Gianna Parker and Ava Thurman each scored one goal. Olivia Waterman added two assists in the win, while goalkeeper Anna Flaherty notched the shutout in net.
Classical (5-0-2) travels to Malden Thursday (4).
BOYS SOCCER
Lynn Tech 1, Greater Lowell 0
Erikson Licardie scored the difference-making goal in the win for the Tigers.
Tech is now 5-0 on the season.
GOLF
St. John’s Prep 227, Catholic Memorial 245
Ian Rourke led the way with a 35 for the Eagles, while Alex Landry was close behind with a 36. Emmet Phelan returned to the lineup after dealing with a back injury and played well, shooting a 38. Michael Shyjan (39), Connor Remley (39) and Nick DeVito (40) also had solid days in the win.
St. John’s Prep (4-1) will compete in the Cape Cod Invitational this Saturday (12).
St. Mary’s 163, Matignon 90
Eric Bridges led the way for St. Mary’s with 28 points, while Sean Mathers was close behind with 26 points. Also contributing to the win were Andrew Potter (26 points), Brendan Zollo (24 points), Owen Giangrande (21 points), Stephen Nason (20 points) and Shea Newhall (19 points).
St. Mary’s (5-4) returns to Gannon Municipal Golf Course Wednesday (3) for a match against Austin Prep.
Marblehead 49, Peabody 23
The Marblehead duo of Matt Weed and Charlie Grenier earned co-medalist honors after shooting identical scores of 37 and winning their respective matches.
Other top performers for the Magicians were Chris Locke, Jacob Hershfield, Jacob Aizanman, Chris Cannuscio and Jack Sontz
Marblehead (4-0) is right back at it Wednesday (4) at home against Salem.
Lynn Classical 48 1/2, Everett 23 1/2
Classical’s top two golfers, Brady Warren and TJ Walsh, both shot scores of 38 to win their matches Tuesday. Ethan Wilson, Christian Spates and Jake Beyea also played well in the victory.
Classical is now 5-2 on the season.
Swampscott 44 1/2, Danvers 27 1/2
Lou Spellios, Will Roddy, Dawson DiBarri and Ben O’Brien all won their respective matches for the Big Blue.

The Magicians won by set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-20.
Keira Sweetnam led the way with 13 kills and two blocks, while Lilah Thompson added 11 kills and three blocks. Caitlin Parkman had 15 digs on the defensive side, while Julia Potvin had 35 assists.
Marblehead (4-1) travels to Salem Friday (5:30).

Charlie Tuttle, Nathan Lopez, Paul Lovett, Luc Santos and Felix Rogovin all finished within 11 seconds of each other to help the Eagles take home the victory.
