LYNN ― Michael Baldassari, of Lynn, has won $1 million in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Mega Money” instant ticket game.
Baldassari decided to choose the cash option for his prize, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
His winning ticket was purchased at the Shaw’s supermarket in Peabody, located at 210 Andover St.
Since it sold a winning ticket, that Shaw’s location will receive a $10,000 bonus.
Baldassari said he plans to pay off his mortgage with his winnings.
