School Sports Roundup: St. Mary’s boys soccer beats Arlington Catholic

The St. Mary’s Spartans boys soccer team dominated on Friday night, defeating Arlington Catholic 5-0.

Kaya Jackson scored two goals to lead St. Mary’s to victory on the road.

The Spartans are now 7-7-2 this season and play Archbishop Williams on Monday (6).

BOYS SOCCER

Swampscott 4, Saugus 0

Valerio Tatafiore tallied a goal and two assists, while Mason Bergeron, Lucas Bereaud, and

Chris Urbano also found the back of the net.

GIRLS SOCCER

Mystic Valley 3, Lynn Tech 0

Cindy DeLeon played great in net, but it wasn’t enough for the Tigers.

Lynn Tech is now 3-11 this season and plays KIPP Academy on Tuesday.

FIELD HOCKEY

Georgetown 2, St. Mary’s 1

Niya Morgan scored the lone goal for the Spartans.

St. Mary’s is now 7-6-2 and plays Bishop Feehan on Saturday.

VOLLEYBALL 

Northeast 3, Lynn Tech 1

Abeline Calixte had nine kills while Jasinairy Camilo had six aces and three assists.

The Tigers are now 5-6 this season.

Ipswich 3, Marblehead 2

The Magicians played its best game of the season, but came up short on Friday night. 

Keira Sweetnam had an outstanding night with 16 kills and 11 digs, while Julia Potvin had 34 assists.

Marblehead is now 12-4 this season.

St. Mary’s 3, Salem 0

The Spartans won on straight sets and celebrated Senior Night on Friday.

St. Mary’s plays Archbishop Willams on Wednesday (4).
