School Sports Roundup: Lynn Classical girls soccer wins GBL title after undefeated regular season

The Lynn Classical Rams girls soccer team made history, having its first undefeated season in history with a 2-0 win over Somerville on Friday.

Ava Thurman and Lauren Wilson scored for the Rams, which finished the season with a record of 15-0-3. With the win, Lynn Classical is the champion of the Greater Boston League.

GIRLS SOCCER

St. Mary’s 2, Cardinal Spellman 1

The Skabeikis sisters came through in a big way for the Spartans, as Sophie and Isabelle each scored a goal to give St. Mary’s the win. Meghan Lovett, Allie Fritz and Sarabelle Diaz all played well in the win.

St. Mary’s finished the 2021 season with a 7-9-2 record.

Beverly 1, Peabody 0

The Tanners are now 7-5-4. 

FIELD HOCKEY

Marblehead 3, Peabody 0

Jane O’Neil, Lucy Rubino, Peighton Ridge scored for the Magicians. 

Marblehead is now 9-8-1 this season.

Everett 6, Revere 1

The Patriots’ season ends with their record standing at 3-11. 

VOLLEYBALL

Lynn Classical 3, Swampscott 0

The Rams won three straight sets behind Chloe Clement’s 11 kills and Annabelle Dao’s 12 digs.

Lynn Classical is now 17-3 this season.
