SAUGUS — Residents will go to the polls Tuesday to elect members of the Board of Selectmen, School Committee, Housing Authority and Town Meeting.
For the Board of Selectmen, 10 candidates are running for five seats. Seven candidates are running for five seats on the School Committee, three candidates are running for three open seats on the five-member Housing Authority, and voters will elect 50 Town Meeting members.
All five incumbents — Chairman Anthony Cogliano, Vice Chair Corinne Riley, and members Jeffrey Cicolini, Debra Panetta, and Michael Serino — are seeking reelection. Five challengers — Elizabeth Marchese, Darren McCullough, Domenic Montano, Leo Fonseca Jr., and Harry Young — are also vying for a seat.
Cogliano, who owns A. Cogliano Realty Services, Inc. and is the general manager of Cogliano Plaza, is vying for a sixth term on the Board of Selectmen.
Riley has spent more than 30 years volunteering for local boards and organizations in town; she was a member of the School Committee, and has worked with the homeless and for veterans, youth sports, and church groups, parent-teacher organizations, and the Saugus Lions Club.
Serino is the former chairman of the Board of Selectmen and has been a member of the town’s Board of Assessors and Conservation Commission.
Panetta has been on the board for 10 years, with five of those years as its chair. She also chaired the town’s School Committee.

For the School Committee, all five incumbents — Chairman Tom Whittredge, Vice Chair Ryan Fisher, and members Arthur Grabowski, John Hatch, and Joseph “Dennis” Gould — are seeking reelection. Two challengers — Leigh Gerow and Vincent Serino — are vying for a seat.
Whittredge, a building-maintenance manager, is seeking a second term on the committee. Fisher has been a program coordinator for the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board for 18 years. Hatch is the executive vice president at Action Ambulance Service, Inc. Gould is a retired project manager at General Electric. Grabowski has served on the School Committee for 10 of the past 12 years. Gerow, a sign-language interpreter, is the only woman running for the committee. Serino is a national accounts manager for MSG Holdings.
Three candidates — John Cannon, William Stewart, and Kristi Talagan — are running for three open seats on the town’s Housing Authority. And voters will elect five Town Meeting members from each of the town’s 10 precincts.
