LYNN — As the KIPP and Lynn Tech boys soccer teams continue to progress through their respective state tournaments, both sides had multiple players gain Commonwealth Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Star honors when the awards were announced Monday.
Among the CAC Large School All-Stars were Lynn Tech’s Julio Guillen, Gregoire Amissi, Alexander Pojoy, Pedro Bamaca, and Jeremy Perez.
Amissi — a sophomore — is coming off an impressive performance in the Round of 32 of the Division 4 tournament, scoring two goals for the Tigers.
Ryan Lovasco from Essex Tech was named Large School MVP, and his head coach Joel Spruance was named Large School Coach of the Year.
On the list of CAC Small School All-Stars, KIPP was well represented. Marco Escobar, James Paz, Jefferson Paz, Kevin Rodriguez, and Jelder DeLeon made the squad. Escobar was also named Small School MVP.
The senior from KIPP has had a phenomenal season, scoring goals at an epic rate. In 2021, Escobar eclipsed a milestone for his high-school career after scoring his 100th career goal.
KIPP head coach Jon Langlois was also honored as Small School Coach of the Year.
