LYNN — Some locations in Lynn, Salem and Peabody are offering free Thanksgiving meals to anyone in need this holiday season.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the locations offering these meals will not have in-person dining. Only takeout options will be offered.
In Lynn, Brothers Deli will continue its Thanksgiving meal donations to the community at 41 Market St. from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
My Brother’s Table, located at 98 Willow St., will also be providing to-go meals to individuals and families from noon to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Extra meals will be available for people to bring to neighbors, friends, or anyone else who is unable to pick up a to-go meal for themselves.
My Brother’s Table said it is not in need of volunteers for Thanksgiving Day, but is looking for volunteers for the rest of the year.
In Salem, the Friends of Salem Council on Aging is sponsoring home-delivered Thanksgiving dinners to seniors in the community, in partnership with Brother’s Taverna.
To sign up for one of these dinners, contact Rosanna Donahue at the Salem Council on Aging at 978-744-0924 by Monday, Nov. 22.
Peabody’s Citizens Inn Haven from Hunger, located at 71 Wallis St., will be providing Thanksgiving meals from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This location is hoping to offer a sit-down meal, but that may change to takeout depending on building renovations and COVID-19 guidelines.
For updates on this, visit citizensinn.org/haven-from-hunger.
In addition to these resources, “Gina’s Giving Back” will be providing Thanksgiving fixings for people throughout the North Shore to cook at home.
To sign up for this food delivery, email Gina at [email protected] with your name, address, phone number, and number of people in your household by Friday, Nov. 19.
Gina is also offering a “heat-and-eat” option for a Thanksgiving dinner for one.
All meals are free of charge and all are welcome to receive them.
