LYNN — A free trolley service will be available on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to take people to the Lynn Museum, LynnArts, and the Lydia Pinkham Building for its annual Open Studios event.
This is the 15th annual Open Studios event at the Lydia Pinkham building, where more than 55 artists will have their work on display throughout the building’s four floors.
In addition to the artists in the Lydia Pinkham Building, guests will be able to view art events at the Lynn Museum and LynnArts as well ― thanks to the trolley service.
The hop-on, hop-off trolley service will board at Lynn Museum, Lydia Pinkham Labs, Lynn English parking lot (where guests can park) and LynnArts to travel between arts events, with live music onboard all day.
From 11 a.m. to noon, guitarist Dave Simmons will be performing on the trolley, followed by ukuleleist John DiTomaso from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.
From 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., flutist Julie Dukas will be performing on the trolley, and violinist Jared Madj will close out the live performances from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.
At LynnArts, located at 25 Exchange St., guests will be able to view artist studio spaces, purchase locally-made artwork and handmade goods, and learn more about the services offered in the building.
At the Lynn Museum, located at 590 Washington St., guests can view the latest exhibitions, purchase Lynn-themed goods in their shop, and see a popup by the Brickyard Collaborative from 1 to 4 p.m.
The popup will be offering several demos including T-shirt printing, woodworking, 3D printing, coding with a Raspberry Pi, laser cutting, a working forge demonstration, and a dog tag-printing machine.
The Open Studios event will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the trolley service will only be on Saturday.
For the first time, Open Studios will have a shopping spree giveaway, sponsored by Lucia Lighting & Design, giving four winners $150 to spend at any of the studios in the building.
