LYNN ― With winter approaching, resident Thomas Mackin decided to host an event at Bent Water Brewery with his friends and family to collect new hats, mittens, gloves and socks for community members in need.

The third annual “Winter Warmer” event will take place at Bent Water on Friday, Nov. 26 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

“This holiday season, we are trying to make a difference and collect essentials that might seem little to some people but could really help someone in need through the winter season,” Mackin said.

The event, which will have indoor and outdoor seating, will collect new hats, mittens, gloves and socks for all ages.

You do not need to bring donations to attend, but it is highly encouraged.

All of the items donated will be given to homeless shelters and people in need throughout the city.

In addition to the winter clothing drive, Bent Water will be having a clearance sale on all of its merchandise that night and will donate a pair of socks to the Winter Warmer event for every $25 of merchandise purchased.

“Come and make a difference this holiday season with your donation and share in a nice, cold Bent Water beer with your friends and family,” Mackin said.

For those interested in donating who are unable to attend the event, email Mackin at [email protected].
