New Lynn Coalition hosting raffle for grocery program

November 21, 2021 by Allysha Dunnigan

LYNN ― The New Lynn Coalition is hosting a holiday raffle to raise money to feed families in need this holiday season.

Raffle prizes include club seats to a Celtics game and dinner for two; a beer and cocktail cart with more than $800 worth of beer, alcohol, bitters and cocktail tools; an electric guitar starter kit; and $200 in gift cards to Market Basket.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at one ticket for $10, three tickets for $20, or 10 tickets for $50.

“As the COVID-19 pandemic relief runs thin, this fundraiser will allow us to continue supporting the most vulnerable residents in Lynn with fresh groceries to increase food resiliency in our city,” New Coalition member Neil Whittredge said.

Tickets can be purchased through CashApp at “$NewLynnCoalition” and through Venmo at “@NewLynnCoalition,” under the business tab.

To purchase, add the word “raffle” and your full name and phone number in the notes section.

For all other purchasing options, email [email protected].

The New Lynn Coalition has been delivering fresh groceries to 500 families a month for the past year and a half, since the pandemic left many struggling to find food.

All of the proceeds from the No Hungry Home Raffle will go toward fresh groceries delivered to people who are unable to leave their homes and are recovering from the pandemic.

The raffle will be drawn on Dec. 20.
