LYNN — Lynnway southbound between the Nahant Rotary and Washington Street was shut down Tuesday night after a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle.
At 6:50 p.m., the State Police – Revere Barracks got a call regarding a vehicle that struck a pedestrian by the Nahant Rotary.
According to State Police, the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to Salem Hospital.
The motorist who struck the pedestrian remained on the scene with their vehicle during the investigation.
“The State Police are handling it because it was on the Lynnway itself,” Lynn Police Department Capt. Jeffrey Brunelle said. “They are handling a pedestrian accident and responding with their crime-scene investigations.”
