LYNN — Jorge Delgado Medina was arraigned for murder in Lynn District Court on Wednesday in connection with the alleged killing of Michael Norton.

Delgado Medina, who had his face hidden behind a chalkboard in the courtroom, is being held without bail and will return to court for a probable cause hearing on Feb. 15.

Norton, 26, was found dead by family members on Dec. 11 at his Saugus apartment at 44 Collins Ave.

When officers responded to Norton’s apartment at the Essex Landing complex, they found him tied up and beaten to death.

Delgado Medina was previously arraigned on Dec. 14 for unlicensed operation, negligent operation and failure to stop following a police pursuit in Saugus.

The police pursuit ended with Delgado Medina crashing a black Dodge Charger onto the front lawn of a home along Gilway Street in Saugus, where he was arrested at approximately the same time officials identified Norton as the man who was killed.

Two women have also been charged in connection with Norton’s murder.

Kiara Rosario, 26, of Chelsea was arraigned on Dec. 31 for accessory after the fact of unarmed robbery. She was ordered held on $50,000 bail and to remain under house arrest with a GPS monitoring device if she posts bail.

Angjeliki Hodaj, 33, of Saugus was arraigned for murder on Dec. 17 and remains held without bail.

The Essex District Attorney’s Office, the Saugus Police Department and the Essex State Police Detective Unit continue to investigate.
