Saugus will host a second vaccine clinic

January 13, 2022 by Allysha Dunnigan

SAUGUS — Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree and the Saugus Health Department have announced a second COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Saugus Senior Center at 466 Central St.

The clinic will offer Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and the Johnson & Johnson vaccines, if available, for those eligible from 5 years old and above needing their first, second, or booster shots.

“Access and availability to the COVID-19 vaccinations continues to be a priority of this administration,” said Crabtree. “Saugus will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our residents and look for ways to expand access to the vaccinations.”

The town said the first COVID-19 clinic in December was a great success and has since received many inquiries regarding hosting another vaccine clinic.

Those interested in getting vaccinated can book an appointment online at “Click to Register for Saugus’ COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.”

“We hope Saugus residents and their families will take advantage of this additional second opportunity to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations in a convenient and easy-to-access manner,” Crabtree said. “The pandemic has been difficult for everyone, and we are proud to help provide protection to our community through this important initiative.”

Appointments will be subject to the availability of vaccine doses, which are provided by the state, and the Saugus Health Department can answer any questions and provide further information at 781-231-4117.

“This second COVID-19 vaccine clinic will again allow more accessibility and convenience for all children, adults, and seniors of Saugus,” the town said in a press release.
