SALEM — Police Officer Iancy Gonzalez has been placed on administrative leave for allegations of bank fraud.
On Jan. 20, a criminal investigation was initiated by the Salem Police Department into the conduct of Gonzalez for alleged bank fraud.
The investigation concluded with charges being brought for forgery, larceny by single scheme of more than $1,200, and uttering.
An arraignment is scheduled for Feb. 25, and Gonzalez was put on leave pending the outcome.
An administrative hearing will be scheduled in accordance with Salem Police procedure and contractual agreements to determine department sanctions.
