SWAMPSCOTT — Town Democrats will elect delegates to attend the MassDems Convention on March 9.
The vote will take place at a virtual meeting that will start at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9. Swampscott Democrats will elect 10 delegates and four alternates to represent the town at the 2022 MassDems Convention.
Registered and pre-registered Democrats who are at least 16 years old as of Feb. 4 may vote and be elected as a delegate or alternate during the caucus. Those who are 16-35 years old, people with disabilities, people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community not elected as delegates or alternates may apply to be add-on delegates at the caucus or by visiting massdems.org/caucus.
The MassDems Convention will take place on June 3 and 4 at the DCU Center in Worcester. Besides in-person proceedings, delegates can participate virtually.
Delegates will convene to endorse candidates for statewide office ahead of the September Democratic Primary.
