The Lynn Classical swim team was able to celebrate their stellar season over the weekend at its annual end-of-season banquet.

For Classical, which won the 2022 Lynn City Swim Meet earlier this year, the presentation of the Tilley Cup went to team captains Yassine Bakhouch, Sydney Finnigan, Aleana Benedetto and Daniel Puma.

Three Rams swimmers picked up city-wide awards on the night, with Puma and Camille Mendonca getting named Male and Female Swimmer of the Year, respectively, while Finnigan was given the Michael and Michelle Conlon Award. There was also one Classical diver who picked up a city-wide honor, as Ava Anderson was given the Don McKenney Outstanding Diving Award.

Other awards given out on the night included the Most Valuable Player Award (Mendonca and Puma), the Student-Athlete Award (Bakhouch and Ashley Hughes), the Most Improved Award (Michael Baez), the Coaches Award (Finnigan, Giuliana Imbriano and Isaiah Diaz), the Diving Coaches Award (Kristen Johnston), the Peter A. Sawin Unsung Hero Award (Merdi Ifufa), the Spirit Award (Jayda Abreu and Felix Pol), the Boosters Award (Aleana Benedetto and Kassidy Chhoeuth), the Ram Award (Victoria Marler and Sydney Porter) and the Monogram Club Award (Matthew Bushway and Amanda Hughes).

The Rams were also honored with the MIAA Team Academic Excellence Award after finishing the year with a team GPA of 3.867.

Classical named its team captains for the 2022-23 season as well, with the honors going to Mendonca, Abreu and Anderson.
