LYNN — Nonprofit human-services organization Centerboard is hosting its first-ever Dueling For A Difference fundraiser.

The event, which will be held annually, will take place this year on May 12 at Centerboard’s Vision Space Gallery at 16 City Hall Square at 7 p.m.

The night will feature professional piano bar entertainer of more than 15 years, Greg

Asadoorian, who plays energetic, rock-and-roll shows to engage the audience in his acts.

Asadoorian has played throughout New England, the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean and was ranked among the highest-rated piano bar entertainers during his five years with Carnival Cruise Lines.

During his performance, the audience becomes involved in a request-driven sing-along, dance-along show.

“We are looking forward to having a fun night with the community, all the while making a

difference for the families we serve everyday,” said Centerboard CEO Mark DeJoie.

Dueling for a Difference will benefit Centerboard’s True Mentor Program, which aims to provide academic and social support for boys ages six to 18 by helping them increase

their motivation and confidence, achieve new goals, give direction to their academic and

future career choices, and assistance with gaining leadership roles.

“It will be a night of music, laughs and fun at Centerboard’s first-ever dueling pianos

event,” said Centerboard.

There will also be raffles for several prizes including a whale-watch for four and various gift cards to local establishments.

Proceeds from this event will assist youth and families to achieve stability.

Tickets for this event are $50 and are available for purchase on Centerboard’s website at centerboard.org/dueling-for-a-difference.
