To the editor:
A former coach of mine used to impress this truism on my team before practices and meets: “Character is what you do when no one is watching.” I still think about it often. Isn’t it amazing how athletics have a way of teaching us about so much more than sports?
A few weeks ago, the local headlines printed that the third Open Meeting Law complaint against the School Committee this school year was “meritless.” The onus falls on the individual to apprise themselves and seek out the information.
In Lynnfield’s last town election, only 1,119 of 9,405 registered voters actually voted (less than 12 percent).
I encourage all citizens and registered voters to show up on Election Day (Tuesday, April 12, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Lynnfield High School) and vote.
