To the editor:
In my role as president and CEO of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, I have the privilege of leading an organization that serves as an economic development and investment authority with a mission of supporting the growth and development of the life sciences in Massachusetts.
Massachusetts has seen an intentional and forward-looking public investment of more than $850 million into our life-sciences ecosystem generating $4.7 billion of leveraged investments in the commonwealth.
The time is ripe for Lynn to focus on how it can be part of this exciting growth trajectory. Nearly 300 companies in the life sciences are finding success and growth on the North Shore already. It’s Lynn’s time to be more part of this success.
I often get asked what it takes to attract life-sciences growth to a certain community or region. There are several factors, but where it all starts is at the local level. My team and I are incredibly excited to work with Mayor Jared C. Nicholson and the city’s local leaders to ensure Lynn residents benefit from the commonwealth’s continued preeminence in the life sciences.
