Letter: A celebration of Lenardo Clement’s life

The Editors

April 11, 2022 by The Editors

To the editor:

We are preparing to remember and celebrate Lenardo (Lenny) Clement for how he lived and not how he died.

Lenny lost his life tragically five years ago on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, when he was on his way home from church and was trying to protect two vulnerable individuals.

Lenny remains forever present in the hearts of family and friends, particularly his mother, Muriel Clement, who said that Lenny was her best travel buddy. Lenny and his mom went on many travel adventures, including cruises with family and friends to local, national and international destinations.

Lenny will always be remembered for his sense of humor, infectious laugh, intellectual conversations, love for dancing, love for food, especially dessert and so much more. He believed in looking beyond the faults of others and seeing their needs, although he was legally blind.

Family, friends, and community supporters are invited to join Muriel Clement at a memorial celebration of Lenny’s happy times in life on April, 28, 2022, 5 p.m., at Old Tyme Italian Restaurant, 612 Boston St., Lynn.

Donations in Lenny’s memory would be appreciated to benefit Essex County Community Organization (ECCO), Bereaved Parents USA (BPUSA), Lynn Chapter, and Boys and Girls Club, Lynn. You can make checks payable to your preferred charity. Donations are also accepted at the event.
