LYNN — The family of the late T. Richard Cuffe, Class of 1963, gathered with friends, trustees, school administrators and staff on April 9 as St. Mary’s dedicated a computer lab in his memory.
Cuffe, a longtime trustee and member of the school’s Hall of Fame, died on Feb. 21 at the age of 76. The donation for the lab named in honor of Cuffe was made by his close friend Jim Baldini, Class of 1966.
Cuffe graduated from Providence College in 1967 and served in the U.S. Army. He went on to become a highly-respected lawyer who, in addition to his alma mater, was a staunch supporter and board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Lynn and the Lynn Rotary Club.
On hand at St. Mary’s for the dedication were: Cuffe’s wife, Susan; their three children and their spouses and children; Ed Calnan, Class of 1957, and his wife, Sue; Terry McGinnis, Class of 1963; Glenn Morris, Class of 1965; Dr. Elizabeth A. Molloy Twomey, Class of 1952; Tom Iarrobino, Class of 1962, and his wife, Ruth; the Rev. Brian Flynn, Pastor of St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church; and Dr. John F. Dolan, Head of School, and his wife, Marilyn.
