LYNN — Duffy Insurance hosted a networking event at the Yard House in Lynnfield on Tuesday night to raise money for My Brother’s Table.

The event, which was an appreciation event for local referral partners of Duffy Insurance, included local realtors, banks, mortgage bankers, CPAs, and closing attorneys and raised a total of $1,372.

Duffy Insurance chose to donate the funds from this event to My Brother’s Table, a Lynn-based soup kitchen, because they have a 25-plus year relationship with the nonprofit.

“They have been long-term loyal customers of Duffy Insurance,” Duffy Insurance owner Marc Duffy said. “Additionally, we have donated and volunteered many hours at My Brother’s Table. The original Duffy Insurance location is located in Wyoma Square, Lynn. We have been there for more than 25 years and we consider Lynn our home. My Brother’s Table also having its home in Lynn makes this a natural partnership and an organization that we want to support.”

To raise the funds for My Brother’s Table, any person who attended the event on Tuesday and made a donation of any size was entered into a drawing for a $200 gift card, and all attendees received a special gift from Duffy Insurance.

“They are an incredible Lynn organization that helps local people who are most in need,” Duffy said. “Duffy Insurance was founded in Lynn in 1996 with a goal to have a positive impact in our local community.  In collaboration with some of our customers, insurance company and referral partners, the Duffy Insurance Referral Partners Networking Night helped us support My Brothers Table and strengthen our relationships with all involved.”

Duffy Insurance hosts two to three similar events per year as a way to focus on and celebrate long-term relationships and customer retention.
