LYNNFIELD — AllModern values simplicity in its grand opening to the public. As the first physical retail store for modern furniture and decor, head of physical retail, Karen McKibbin tours across the in-season “California Cool” theme designs. AllModern’s floor layout is categorized by product. Anything a consumer might need to fulfill their home space is neatly presented throughout the store. AllModern is located at 310 Market St., Lynnfield, Massachusetts 10940. Uniquely, customers are able to come in-store and creatively put together their own space before making a purchase; allowing customers to bring their vision to life in building the perfect room. 

“We want our customers to experience our products. You are actually able to touch and feel the fabric,” said McKibbin.

A unique feature AllModern uses is their electronic shelf labels. Each product label has its own QR code that a customer can easily scan with their phone, taking them directly to AllModern’s website where they can find further education on a specific product. Their electronic shelf labels provide automatic updates on sales and price changes. 

“With our modern day electronic shelf labels, there’s no more physical markdowns being made,” said Kevin O’Riordon, Head of Retail Technology at AllModern.

For AllModern, this is one of many unique features separating them from their competitors. In the store — along the back wall — are organized sets of lighting, glassware, bookcases, plants, picture frames, and more. By bringing in creative artistic designs inspired by Modern Movement, AllModern has all modern home furniture and decor. 

Every product reflects AllModern’s brand with a cleanline base. AllModern has partnered with a paint brand company providing modern paint sales for customers. The interior of the store has been painted with a “SuperMoon” color to further compliment their spacious “California Cool” summer season. 

Head of Visual Merchandising, Barclay Resler, highlights a customer’s ability to be able to beneficially purchase a fireplace feature that completes an indoor living set. 

“AllModern’s brand always considers the customer first, ensuring to connect all as our starting point,” said Resler. 

Seasonal “California Cool” brings pops of color, with yellows like “Pablo Honey,” greens, modern lighting, and west coast decor, including pillows, plants, and a surfboard to really give customers that summer feel. 

In-store, AllModern has set up a scavenger hunt for families with kids while walking through the open floor layout. Kids will be able to ambitiously look for 3D-printed props that are all black, hidden somewhere in the different sets of furniture and decor products.
