The MIAA state tournament brackets for girls lacrosse were released Friday afternoon, and a number of local teams will be continuing their seasons into the playoffs.

Starting off in the Division 1 bracket, the Peabody Tanners locked up the No. 24 seed after finishing the regular season with a 15-3 record. The Tanners earned a first-round bye with that seed, but they will have to go on the road in the Round of 32 against No. 9 Hingham Wednesday evening (5).

Over in Div. 2, Danvers earned the No. 26 seed after an 11-7 campaign. The Falcons earned a first-round bye and will open the playoffs on the road against No. 7 Agawam in the Round of 32 at a date and time to be determined.

Marblehead found its way into the Div. 2 state tournament despite finishing the year with a losing record, grabbing the No. 30 seed in the bracket. The Magicians (7-11) will also get a home game, as they will host No. 35 Tantasqua Regional in the preliminary round at a date and time to be determined.

Three local teams populate the Div. 3 tournament bracket, with Swampscott, Bishop Fenwick and St. Mary’s all earning spots. Swampscott (10-6) clocked in at No. 14 overall, earning a first-round bye in the process. The Big Blue will play at home against No. 19 North Middlesex in the Round of 32 at a date and time to be determined.

Despite a record under .500, Fenwick (8-10) grabbed the No. 21 seed and earned a first-round bye. The Crusaders will have to go on the road in the Round of 32, however, traveling to No. 12 Apponequet at a date and time to be determined.

St. Mary’s (7-12-1) rounds out the local teams in the Div. 3 bracket, coming in at No. 29. The Spartans will have to play in the preliminary round, but they’ll play at home against No. 36 Lee Monday evening (6:30) at Bertram Field in Salem.

The Div. 4 bracket has two local teams in the mix, starting with Lynnfield at No. 24. The Pioneers (5-13) earned a bye in the opening round, but will be forced to go on the road to take on No. 9 Mount Greylock in the Round of 32 at a date and time to be determined.

Winthrop rounds out the local tournament teams as the No. 29 seed in Div. 4, wrapping up the regular season at 8-10. The Vikings will get a home game in the preliminary round, hosting No. 36 Hampshire Regional at a date and time to be determined.
