SWAMPSCOTT — Swampscott police are looking for the owner of lost cash found on Humphrey Street Sunday.
In a Facebook post, police said good samaritans found the money near Linscott Park and brought it to the station, where the money is currently being held.
“If you misplaced money contact the police department, it could be yours,” police said.
In order to determine the cash is returned to its rightful owner, police said that those trying to claim the cash will have to correctly state the amount of money lost, and know how it was packaged.
“Be advised you will have to know what the money was in, how it was packaged, and the amount,” police said.
