It was a tough way to end the season for the Marblehead boys lacrosse team Friday evening, as the No. 10 Magicians came up just short to No. 7 Minnechaug by a score of 8-5 in a Division 2 tournament Round of 16 game on the road.
Josh Robertson, who was named Northeastern Conference Player of the Year this week, scored two goals to lead the Marblehead offense. Connor Cronin, Cole Gallup and Baxter Jennings each scored one goal, while Charlie Grenier notched two assists. Goalie Finn Maniaci made seven saves in the loss.
Marblehead finishes the 2022 season at 16-4.
