MEDFIELD — It was not to be for the Swampscott boys lacrosse team Wednesday night as the Big Blue fell to Medfield, 18-3 in the MIAA Division 3 round of 8.

Swampscott kept it a 1-1 game through the early stages before Medfield began pulling away. After one quarter, Medfield led 3-1 and really began pouring it on after that.

The Blue scored to pull within a goal early in the second quarter before Medfield scored the next 10 goals to seal the deal.

Harrison Kinne, Christian Urbano, and Jack Russo scored the goals while Aidan Brault made 13 saves.

“We hung tight most of the first quarter,” said Coach Geoff Beckett. “But we couldn’t hang with playing Defense the whole time.

“Harris battled with their best guy and was able to start a lot of transition on offense,” Beckett said. “Breault was fantastic.”
