Saugus now has a place to go for technical advice

SAUGUS — A new electronics repair shop, Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions, has opened.

The store, at 855 Broadway #3, offers professional fixes for most consumer electronics, from smartphones, tablets, and computers; to game consoles, smart speakers, drones, and more. The grand opening of the store featured discounts, giveaways, refreshments, and entertainments.

“We are excited to serve people in Saugus with fast and affordable tech repair,” said Dave Barbuto, CEO of Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions.

Barbuto said that in the times that customers rely on phones and laptops more than ever before, the mission of Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions is bigger than repairing shattered screens and broken charge ports.

“We fix tech (products) because people depend on (them) to stay connected to things that are important to them. I look forward to serving this community through our new location,” said Barbuto.

The company’s statement says that while common repairs include cracked screens, battery issues, and water damage, the company’s repair experts that “have fixed millions of devices” can help with the customers with most any tech mishap.

“Many basic repairs can be completed in two hours or less,” reads the statement.

Will Chin, Asurion’s district manager, said that technology services can be frustrating and highly inconvenient for customers, and to that end Asurion was aiming at making a difference in the device repair industry.

“I look forward to offering top-notch service to customers in this community and hope to become their go-to when electronics break,” said Chin.

In addition to the fact that the store is an authorized repair provider for Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel smartphones, its expert repair technicians can fix all kinds of technology, regardless of make or model.

The customers can book a repair appointment online or stop by the store for a walk-in service. The store offers free, no-obligation diagnostics on all gadgets, as well as a one-year limited warranty on all repairs. A price match is guaranteed on any local competitor’s regularly published price for the same repair.

The new Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions store brings the company’s retail footprint to more than 800 locations across the U.S. The company that was formerly known as uBreakiFix®, will rebrand as Asurion Tech Repair & Solutions at all U.S. locations throughout 2022.

“Asurion Repair Experts Provide Fast Fixes on Phones, Tablets, Laptops, and More,” reads the prepared statement from the store.
