A 26-year-old Lynn man was arrested Wednesday morning on a warrant charging him with aggravated rape of a child, police said.
Jose Carlos Alvarez Hernandez, of 19 Amity St., also faces a charge of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, according to Lynn police.
At his arraignment in Lynn District Court Wednesday, Alvarez Hernandez was ordered held without bail pending the outcome of a dangerousness hearing set for July 21, state court records show.
The warrant for Alvarez Hernandez’s arrest was issued on July 6, records show.
