The Leaders Engaged and Activated to Drive System-wide change announced the list of community members who will be partaking in their inaugural fellowship program on Wednesday.
In September, the two cohorts of regional leaders will begin a 9-month fellowship program developed and delivered by Harvard Business School’s faculty and staff. The fellowship seeks “to catalyze, cultivate and connect diverse, cross-sectoral leaders and incubate actionable ideas to make change.”
“The program is designed to support gateway city leaders making systems-level change at the local and regional level, with representatives from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors from the communities of Lynn, Salem, Peabody, and Beverly,” the organization said in a statement.
The fellows were nominated by 100 regional partners and then evaluated and selected by a 12-person regional steering/selection committee. The cohorts were designed to represent the diversity of culture and experience in the North Shore.
“The fellows reflect the communities and region they lead, including a near equal representation of male and female leaders; approximately 38 percent leaders of color (matching the average across the four communities); strong representation from public, private and nonprofit sectors and distribution across size of firms from sole proprietors to leaders of companies of nearly 1,000 employees,” the statement said.
Fellows range in profession from college presidents to state representatives, licensed social workers to CEOs.
After the fellowship ends, graduates will form a network of professionals to foster partnerships and new ideas across North Shore communities.
