LYNN — A man attempted to hang himself inside the post office in a sectioned-off area above the stairs Monday, police said.
Officers responded to 51 Willow St. around 12:30 p.m., said Lt. Michael Kmiec, a spokesman for Lynn police.
Kmiec said that the man received the medical attention police believed he needed at the time and that he was assisted by the Police Department’s Behavioral Health Unit.
“The officers responded, they located the man, and they got him the assistance with the help of our Behavioral Health Unit,” Kmiec said.
